DAWSON, Charles Alexander. No. 266729, Pte., 2nd Seaforth Highlanders ; born at Gran-
town-on-Spey, 6th Feb., 1898 ; joined at Elgin, 10th May, 1916 ; served in France ; severely
wounded at Passchendaele Ridge, 4th Oct., 1917, by gunshot in neck and fracture of the 6th
vertebra ; exposed for 31 hours during which time was twice wounded and buried, causing
withered side. Son of J. C. Dawson, 221, High Street, Elgin, and Jessie Peters or Dawson.
