BADDON, Milne James. No. 850, Pte., i/6th Seaforth Highlanders ; born at Elgin, 31st May„
1893 ; joined at Elgin ; served in France ; reported missing and presumed killed, 28th April,
1916. Son of Alexander Y. Baddon, Elgin. Occupation, tailor.
BADDON, Richard. No. 391364, Lee. /Cpl., i/6th Seaforth Highlanders (Territorials) ; born at
Burghead, Sept. 17th, 1895 ; joined at Elgin, Sept. 22nd, 1914 ; served in France ; lost two
first fingers of left hand. Son of James E. and Grace Baddon, Ivy Cottage, St. Aethans.
Burghead. Occupation, ship's fireman.
BADENOCH, John. No. 242142, Pte., 6th Gordon Highlanders ; born at Clenterty Schoolhouse,
Gamrie, Banffshire, Jan. 14th, 1894, residing at the Brae, Garmouth, since Sept., 1911 *
joined at Keith, April, 1915 ; served in France ; severely wounded in left thigh at capture
of Vimy Ridge, May, 1917, at the same time wounded by shrapnel in left foot. Son of John
and Sarah Graham Badenoch, Schoolhouse, Garmouth. Occupation, clerk.

1890 ; joined at Lossiemouth, July, 1907 ; served in France. Son of John Baikie, ioa„
Clifton Road, Lossiemouth, and Annie Flett or Baikie (deceased). Occupation, plasterer.
BAIKIE, John. Able Seaman, H.M.S. " Bulwark " ; born at Lossiemouth, August 1st, 1886 ;
joined at Lossiemouth, Dec, 1911 ; served at Portsmouth ; killed by explosion on board
H.M.S. " Bulwark," on 26th Nov., 1914, at Sheerness. Son of John Baikie, 10a, Clifton Road,
Lossiemouth, and Annie Flett or Baikie (deceased). Occupation, joiner.
BAILLIE, William. No. 92971, Pte., R.A.M.C. ; born at Fortingall, by Aberfeldy, Perthshire,.
8th August, 1898, residing in Forres for the past 6 years ; joined at Aberdeen, 20th March,, "f
1915 ; served in France ; slightly wounded in hand, and gassed. Son of Thomas and Jessie
Baillie, Cluny Hill Lodge, Forres. Occupation, apprentice clerk.

BAIN, Benjamin. No. 9771, Pte., 1st Batt. Gordons ; born at North Road, Forres, 12th April,.
1882 ; joined at Aberdeen, 12th June, 1905 ; reservist, called up 4th August, 1914 ; served in
France ; gunshot wound in left leg, taken prisoner at retreat from Mons. Son of Benjamin
and Ann Bain, North Road, Forres. Occupation, labourer.

5th, 1887 ; joined in Canada, 1915 ; joined the Seaforths when 16 and served in the Gordons
and Argyle and Sutherland Highlanders 7 years ; served in France ; killed in action on Hill 70,
August 15th, 1917. Son of William Bain, 17, High Street, Elgin, and Margaret Grant, or
Bain (deceased). Occupation, labourer.

BAIN, Duncan. No. 3476, Pte., 4th Cameron Highlanders ; born at Gairloch, Ross-shire, July
10th, 1887 ; residing in Fochabers for 16 years and Elgin 5 years ; joined at Inverness, June
23rd, 1915 ; served in France ; invalided from France. Son of Duncan Bain, Fochabers,
town, and Mary McNeil or Bain. Occupation, dental surgeon.

1892 ; joined at Motherwell, Lanarkshire, 4th Sept., 1914 ; served in France ; killed in<
