28th, 1897 ; joined at Elgin, Nov. nth, 1913 ; served in France ; killed in action at Arras,

The Kennels, Gordon Castle, Fochabers, 1st Feb., 1886 ; joined at Elgin, 17th June, 1915 ;
served in France, Lewis Gun Section ; killed at Arras, April 8th, 1917. Son of William and
Diana Anderson, Roman Camp, Fochabers. Occupation, coachman.
ANDERSON, William Alexander. Born at Binns, Garmouth, Morayshire, 23rd Oct., 1887 ;
joined at Garmouth, Morayshire, 1902, the 6th Seaforth Highlanders, went to Ceylon and
afterwards to Malay Straits Settlements and joined the C.P.R.C. Regiment. Son of James
(deceased) and Ann Anderson, Binns, Garmouth. Occupation, tea and rubber planter.

Castle Hill, Parish of Birnie, 16th Nov., 1884 ; joined at Drill Hall, Nairn, 2nd Dec, 1915 ;
served in France ; killed in action at Beaumont Hamel, 13th Nov., 1916. Son of Robert
and Mary Calder Anderson, Granary Cottage, Rafford. Occupation, under gamekeeper.
ANDERSON, William George. Lieut., 6th Seaforth Highlanders ; born at Dallas, Morayshire,
27th Feb., 1888 ; joined at Elgin, 14th August, 1914 ; served in France ; wounded in Mametz
Wood on 22nd July 1916, left forearm amputated, shrapnel wounds right thigh and knee.

Anderson, Urquhart Village, and Margaret Roy or Anderson. Occupation, car conductor.
ANDERSON, William Trevor. Lieut., 6th Seaforths and R.F.C. ; born at Newera Eliya,
Ceylon, 30th Dec, 1896, lived in Elgin since 1904 ; joined at Elgin, 8th Oct., 1914 ; served
in Scotland and England ; died of illness contracted when on military duty at Newcastle-on-
Tync, 8th April, 1917. Son of William and Edith Isabella Anderson, Springfield House,
Elgin. Occupation, scholar.
ANDREWS, James. No. 527325, Pte., 7th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders (Territorials) ;
born at Kilsyth, Stirling, August 7th, 1894, married to Lossiemouth girl, residing there for
past twelve months ; joined at Kilsyth, 12th Oct.. 1913, mobilised 4th August, 1914 ; served
in France ; wounded at Arras, 1917, then transferred to Labour Batt. Son of Henry Andrews,
Charles Street, Kilsyth, and Elizabeth Rankine or Andrews (both deceased). Occupation,
coal miner.
