tion; submarined and lost 25th Nov., 1917, aged 22. JOHN,
R.N.R. (sons of Mr Torquil Macdouald).
MACDONALD— *DONALD, Sergt., Seaforths ; killed in action at
Hill 60 on 9th May, 1915, aged 27- He served for ten years
with the Colours, and came to France from India (son of Mr
John Macdonald).

awarded the M.M. and D.C.M. JOHN, R.N.R. JOHN, Can-
adians (nephew of Norman above).
MACKENZIE— JOHN, R.N.R., torpedoed; saved from "Iolaire"
disaster. *MALCOLM, R.N.R.; lost in disaster to H.M.S. "Bul-
wark," 26th Nov., 1914, aged 29 (son of Mr Donald Mackenzie).
MACKENZIE— JOHN A. ; R.N.R.; 1914 Star; interned in Holland.
*MURDO, R.N.R. ; died in Mesopotamia, 26th July, 1915, aged
41; took part in the operations on the Shat-el-Arab. ANDREW,
Canadian Navy.

22- JOHN, Ross Mountain Battery; very severely wounded in
Gallipoli (sons of Mr Malcolm Martin).

MACDONALD— NORMAN, Gunner, R.N.R. *MURDO DAN, 2nd
Lieut., Camerons ; killed at the Somme, 18th July, 1916, aged
29. Was studying for the ministry at the outbreak of war.
(Sons of Mr Kenneth Macdonald). Writing Lieut. Macdonald's
father, his Captain said : ". . . We had put up two big mine,«
and your son and another officer were detailed with a party of
men to seize the craters. They gallantly succeeded in doing
this. Having shortly afterwards to give up one of the craters,
your son, with great pluck and at great risk, came back for men.
Having obtained them he again returned to the attack. Unfor-
tunately, just as he got into the crater he wa.s instantly shot."

Seaforths ; was three times wounded. EVANDER, R.N.R.

16 MACLEOD— IVOR, Ross Mountain Battery.
MACLEOD— CHRISTINA, Matron, Highland Casualty Clearing
Station, France; awarded Royal Red Cross; decorated by H.M
the King. JESSIE A., Chaffeuse, Red Cross, France (daughters
of Mr Angus Maeleod, Port-Voller House).
18 MACLEOD— NORMAN, Canadians; wounded. *ANGUS, 2nd
Lieut., Seaforths; killed in France, 21st Nov., 1917, aged 28;
joined Kitchener's Army two months after outbreak of war,
being at the time a teacher under the Glasgow School Board
(sous of Mr Alexander Maeleod).
CAMPBELL— MURDO (Angus). Petty Officer, R.N.R. MURDO,
Lance-Cpl., Gordons; six times wouuded; prisoner in Germany
(father and son).
MARTIN— WILLIAM, R.N.R. *DONALD, R.N.R.; drowned in
"Clan Macuaughton," Feb. 1915, aged 22; enlisted after out-
break of war, and had just completed three months' service
(Sons of Mr William Martin).
MARTIN— WILLIAM, Gunner, R.N.R. DONALD, Gunner,
R.N.R.. torpedoed. MALCOLM, R.N.R. KENNETH, Trans-
port Service (sons of Mr Kenneth Martin).
COMBE— WILLIAM A., Tiumpan Head Lighthouse, Transport
Service.
