It is not to be understood that the battle between Galdus, and the
Roman General, was fought immediately at the foot of Benlomond,
but upon that line not far distant from it.

About the year 1805, it was rumoured that from the position of
the planets, at the time of the Spring Equinox, there was to be a
â–¼ery high tide, which was the occasion of the Poem, entitled, Tbc
Meikle Tide, but no such Tide ever happened-
