How mony landis ar in Europe
And quha foundit first Rome our hope.
THE landis ]?at in Europe lyis
The north art all occupiis. 1170
In to the north of Europe is
A revere J?at hecht Tannais,
Quhare pare standis hillis hie
That hecht ]?e hillis of Raphay,
And fra ]?e watter of Tannais
South one to Danay strekand is
A land callit Nethere Sythia;
Wnder Sythy lyis in Asya,
And till it is marchand nere,
Albeid J>ai ly in parteis seire, 1180
Forthy sum haldis pat baith pai
Suld be bot a Sythia.
