That fowll1 his nest he fylis, and forthy
Exylit he suld be of all gud cumpany;

Chryst to his fader he had nocht ane man;
Se quhat wirschep wemen suld haif3 than.
That Sone is Lord, that Sone is King of kingis,
In hevin and erth his maiestie ay ringis.4 30
Sen scho hes borne him in hir halines,
And he is well and grund of all gudnes,
All wemen of ws suld haif5 honoring,
Serwice and luve, aboif6 all vthir thing.
[Finis] quod Dumbar.7
