Maid biggynnis bare alffer as euer yai paft.
The commonis all to londone ar yai went
Before the king and tald him yair intent
And faid yai wal[d] bot he gart Wallace cei[s]
Forfaik ye faith and tak yame to his peis
Na herald yare yan durst to Wallace pas
[Qu]hai[r]of the king gretly aggreuit was.
Thus edward left his pepill in to baill
Contrar Wallace he wald nocht gif battaill
Nor bidd in feild for nocht yat yai can say
Gaif our ye caus to lundone paft his way
At men of wit yis questioun heir I as
Amang nobillis gif euer ony was
[Sa lan]g in ingland throw force or throw cace
[Sen Brut]us deit but victale bot Wallace
[Greit luljius ye empyre had in hand
[Twyis o]n force was put of inglad.
[Wicht Ar]thur als first of were quhen he previt
[Als twyi]s yai faucht fuppois yai war myfchev[it.]
[Awfull] Eduard durft nocht wicht Wallace bi[de]
[In plane batjtale for all inglad sa wide
[In Lond]one he lay and tuke him to his reft
[And bra]k his vow quhilk hald 30 for ye beft
[Deme] as 3e lift gude men of difcretioun
[Richt] clair it is to refolue yis questioun
[To my] sentence now briefly will I pas.
[Quhan] Wallace yus throu 3ork fchire iourna[d was]
Wictale as yan was nane left in ye land
B[ot] in houffis quhare it micht be warand
The oift heirof abafit was to bide

Sum bad turn hame and fum wald for[t]liir [mair]
Wallace callit lop and faid to him richt yare
Thovv knawis ye land quhair maift abou[ndace is]
