The door is on the street but the rest of the house is set back behind a stone wall with a little wooden railing along the top of it and a wooden gate through which there is also access to the house. In the background the tenement building is overlooking the house.

Shows tenements and shops around St Leonards before buildings were pulled down for slum clearance. Half-plate gelatin-silver prints. Precise address of building is given where known.
