Description	Lady Caroline Lamb (1785-1828) was an aristocrat, writer and amateur artist. After reading Lord Byron’s poem Childe Harold’s Pilgrimage she was determined to meet its author. She and Byron had a passionate love affair in 1812. This commonplace book was compiled by Lamb around 1810.

Lord Byron
Description	Selected manuscript items relating to the poet Lord Byron (1788 to 1824) and his circle. Included are manuscripts of Byron's epic poem 'Don Juan' in Byron’s own hand, with all his corrections and notes, and a neat copy by Mary Shelley. Examples of Byron's letters and journals are also included here.
