| Description | 11 3/4x 7 3/4 Satire of William Augustus, Duke of Cumberland and Savoyard Girl. Shows the Duke looking very plump telling the woman "To Windsors shady kind retreat" as the woman replies "Waft me some soft and cooling Breese" while a horrified man looks on "I shall lose my Sister" In the background is a sign with a huge hog and the text "The Great Fat Hog is to be seen alive" while a group of men and women stand below, including a man in tartan trousers and tunic and berate him "Wonders won't cease" "No Swines for me" Englands Glory" "The Wonder of ye Age" With verse below picture: "Musick hath Charms to sooth the Savage Breats" To Soften Rocks, and bend the knotted Oak." |
