| Description | Satire A carricature of Prince Charles Edward Stuart as Mars Portrait of Prince Charles dressed in armour and tartan, with funny hat, and a banner from mount with text "'Tis time for Vengeance" his sword has text "slavery" and possibily "Supersitition" on it, with banners of text "Liberty" and "Porperty" on the ground at his feet. An angel with a scythe sits on a cloud, holding a face with text "Born to redress my Peoples grievances". In the background there are two groups, one with a flag "Turn or Burn" with a man burning at the stakes, and ther other a group of highland soldiers with flag "No promises to be made good to Heretics" Text at very top of paper: "By Arts delusive Tyranny began, Tim mov'd the Marsk, and shew'd the real Man." |
