In Midnapur one of the licensed vaccinators worked within the Railway limit and was
District 24-Parganas entertained 64 paid vaccinators—the cost was paid by the District
In Barisal, one special Inspector, 4 temporary Sub-Inspectors and 25 paid vaccinators
In Chittagong Hill Tracts, one of the paid vaccinators worked during the recess on
(a) Deputation allowance paid to vaccinators.
(b) Includes 4 temporary vaccinators employed on small-pox duty.
The cost of each successful case by the special staff is one anna and nine pies.

| Description | The Vaccination collection consists of 66 volumes dating from 1856 to 1933. Reports show how vaccination against smallpox was implemented in India. They reveal the shift from variolation, improved vaccination techniques, logistics of lymph supply, funding and staffing. They explore how the local population viewed and resisted western vaccination. |
