It will be seen that three out of the four Deputy Superintendents in the
Metropolitan Circle, one out of the three in the Darjiling Circle, and one out
of the two in the Behar Circle show less work during the year under report
than in the previous year, which is not creditable to them.
Subordinate Inspecting Officers.

N.B.—The head vaccinators attached to Calcutta and the Central Vaccination Depôt are not inspecting officers. In the Behar
Circle two first class vaccinators performed few inspections which have been included in the statement.
Conduct of establishment.
The remarks made in my Annual Sanitary Report for 1890 under this
heading are applicable here, as the same officers are
vaccination as well as sanitary officers.
I have the honour to be,
SIR,
Your most obedient servant,
W. H. GREGG, M.B., M.R.C.P., Lond.,
Dip. Publ. Health, Camb.,
Sanitary Commissioner for Bengal.
