ABSTRACT.—Submitting report on the working of the Vaccination department in the
Madras Presidency for 1919-20.
Order—No. 81-P.H., Local and Municipal, dated 26th January 1921.
Recorded with reference to the remarks in paragraphs 16 and 17 of G.O.
No. 80-P.H., dated 26th January 1921.
2. The Government await with interest the report promised by the Sanitary
Commissioner in paragraph 6 of his report regarding the working of the scheme
of vaccination sanctioned in G.O. No. 963. L., dated 4th July 1917. The question
of the introduction of compulsory vaccination in all districts in the Presidency
will be considered on its receipt.
3. The report promised by the Sanitary Commissioner regarding the efficiency
of various vaccines is also awaited.
4. -The Government suggest that in future reports details of touring,
personnel and postings might be abridged, and more space devoted to administra-
tive defects and their remedy, and to questions of general policy.
