16 VACCINATION REPORT.
held charge till November when another deputy was appointed. This man fell
sick and had to be removed. The present incumbent assumed charge on the
26th February 1892.
The short work in the Kárvetnagar range was due to a want of harmony
between the deputy and the vaccinators. The vaccinators combined and brought
several charges against the deputy, which, however, they failed to prove. They
were insubordinate and prevented him from properly inspecting their work. The
deputy has since been transferred.
The Deputy, No. I Circle, South Canara, has been called upon to explain his
failure to verify the required number. Unless his explanation is satisfactory the
President will be asked to fine him.
In Vizianagrum range the Deputy Inspector suffered from bad health, and, on
the 18th September, was declared unfit for further service.
18. Animal Vaccination.—The following tables show the results obtained
from calf-to-arm vaccinations :—
