When prisoners of different classes are confined in the same Jail , the expenditure on establishment and other items with which all are concerned should be divided over all. The cost per head under any item of expenditure is to be calculated on prisoners actually concerned in it or contributing to it ,and not otherwise. Hospital charges (col. 7) should include rations and also the cost of medicines supplied from the Bazar and the Medical Store Depôt. In this serirs(Financial) annas and pies are only to be shown where there are columns for them.
