purchased than in 1921, and this, with other minor
expenses, reduced the savings to Rs. 1,968. The expendi-
ture incurred on the purchase of lymph was Rs. 3,210. The

10. The total number of successful vaccinations and re-
vaccinations amounted to 132,650.
The average cost of each successful
case was two annas and seven pies. This is practically the
same as the average annual cost of each case during the
preceding quinquennium. A comparison with the expen-
diture of vaccination in certain other provinces of which
the figures are available shows that the working expenses of
the Vaccination Department in this Province are low :—
