SIR,

I HAVE the honour to submit, for the information of the Hon'ble the
Chief Commissioner, the prescribed Annual Vaccination statements for the year
1913-14 with the following remarks :—

Administration.
Statement No. II

2. Major Stiles Webb, Deputy Sanitary Commissioner, North-West
Frontier Province, has been placed in
charge of this Department and has com-
piled this report.

Establishment.

3. The establishment employed
during the year was :—

Two Divisional Inspectors,

Six Superintendents,

Thirty-eight Vaccinators (including one Military Sub-Assistant Surgeon
attached to the Cantonment General Hospital, Nowshera).

Statement No. I.—Number of vaccinations performed
by all establishments

4. The total number of vacci-
nations performed during the year was
164,853, an increase of 12,113 since the
year 1912-13.

Of this total, 145,840 were primary operations and 19,013 secondary
operations. This represents an increase of 20,731 primary and a decrease of
8,618 secondary operations compared with last year.

The total number of persons vaccinated was 162,316, an increase of
11,267.

Average number vaccinated by each Vaccinator.

5. The average number of persons vaccinated by each operator was
4,268.47. (The small amount of vacci-
nation work done by the Inspecting
Officers and Superintendents is ignored in calculating this figure.)

The Hazara District Vaccinators head the list with an average of 6,660
per Vaccinator : Peshawar is second with an average of 6,415.

Vaccination according to ages.

6. The number of successful primary vaccinations performed on, child-
ren under 1 year of age was 88,899 and
36,777, on children between 1 and 6
years of age, an increase of 15,787 and 3,543 respectively.
