39. The hospital was visited by the following during the
year under report :—

1.  The Hon'ble Sir J. D. Sifton, K.C.S.I., K.C.I.E., I.C.S., as
member of the Executive Council, Bihar and Orissa.
2.  The Commissioner, Chota Nagpur Division.
3. The Inspector-General of Civil Hospitals, Bihar and
Orissa.
4.  The Inspector-General of Prisons, Bengal.
5.  The Inspector-General of Prisons, Bihar and Orissa.
6.  The members of the Managing Committee.
7. Several members of the Bihar and Orissa Legislative
Council.
8. Dr. Charles P. Emerson, M.D., Commissioner Laymen's
Foreign Mission Inquiry, 1 Pershing Square, New
York, U. S. A.

Besides, numerous sympathisers of both sexes, European
and Indian.

40.  During the year under report in 24 cases admission
papers were found to be defective in some respect or other
which were subsequently rectified by correspondence with the
committing Magistrates. The matter was brought to the notice
of the Inspector-General of Civil Hospitals, Bihar and Orissa.

41.  Lectures.—During the year under report in addition to
the two batches of medical students from the Prince of Wales'
Medical College, Patna, a batch consisting of 13 passed students
of the Darbhanga and Cuttack Medical Schools were sent here
for intensive training in mental diseases under the Superintendent.

42.  Papers contributed.—A paper was contributed by me
during the period under report to the Lancet, which was pub-
lished in the journal of 26th December 1931 entitled " Sulphur
Injections in Psychoses ".

Another paper was also contributed to the Journal of Mental
Science
which appeared in the journal in its issue of January
1931, entitled " Dementia Præcox, its Aetiology with special
reference to the Parsees of India ".
