12. Table No. V exhibits the attributed causes of insanity of those treated during the
ten years. The table would have been of more value for purposes of comparison had it been
possible to furnish the information for the admissions only. Only 51 per cent. of those
treated have had a cause assigned, the remaining 48.9, or nearly half, being "unknown." Of
the known causes, 86.4 per cent. were physical, and 13.6 moral.
