Details of their work are given below.

8.     Assistant Director, Babu N. N. Mazumdar, was in charge from
the beginning of the year till the 28th of August, when he left for
Calcutta to take over charge of the Western Range. During this period
he toured for 18 days and travelled 224 miles by rail, 79 miles by road
and 344 miles by boat and steamer. In the course of these tours he
visited Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and the villages Chokoria and Kakra

undertook Serum Simultaneous inoculation of the Farm cattle at
Manipur and also of cattle belonging to one Babu H. P. Chatterjee at
Nilkhet and Kamrangachar.

Assistant Director during the absence on deputation of Babu N. N.
Majumdar to the Western Range and also when the latter went on
leave for four months with effect from the 19th December last. He
was thus in charge of the Eastern Range for seven months during this
year. During his incumbency he toured for 65 days and visited
Comilla, Chandpur, Feni, Noakhali, Chittagong, Barisal, Faridpur,
Sarisabari once each, and Mymensingh thrice, and at all these places
he inspected the Veterinary Hospitals and Dispensaries. He

Chairmen of District Boards and explained to them the necessity of
increasing the Veterinary Staff in their districts.

In addition to this work he visited the Government Dairy Farm

10.     The only Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, who is now on
Foreign Service in Iraq, is Mr. N. P. Fernandez. His deputation
commenced in 1921 and was being extended from year to year. The
question of his permanent retention by the Iraq Government had been
under consideration for about three years and it is gratifying to note
that a decision has now been arrived at in regard to this matter.
