144. In consideration of the enlightened manner in which the Committee received
these suggestions, their earnest desire of furthering veterinary knowledge, and the able manner
in which the first cattle show has been conducted, I would recommend that Government be
asked to contribute Rs. 350 towards the Sitamarhi Cattle Show to be held next year.
145. My tours were of necessity very short, in consequence of my duties in the Bengal
Veterinary Institution : nevertheless the following districts were visited:—Rangpur, Purnea,
Bhagalpur, 24-Parganas, Darjeeling, Sikkim, Patna, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Saran,
Hooghly, Khulna, Birbhum, Dacca, and Shahabad (Appendix P). I have been away 107
days from head-quarters and have travelled—

146. Rupees 4,256-7-6, the amount of fees received, have been deposited in the Bank
