10.  Haemorrhagic Septicaemia.—One hundred and twenty-three
outbreaks were reported from all the districts in Sind, with 1,027
attacks and 887 deaths, as against 172 outbreaks, 1,637 attacks and
1,455 deaths in the previous year.

11.  Foot and Mouth Disease.—One hundred and four outbreaks
were reported from all the districts, except Upper Sind Frontier
district. 3,429 animals were attacked and 28 deaths occurred among
suckling calves, as against 186 outbreaks, 7,317 attacks and 144
deaths.

12.  Anthrax.—Only one case of Anthrax was reported from
Karachi and the animal died.

13.  Parasitic Gastritis.—In 16 outbreaks of this disease in
Nawabshah, Sukkur and Dadu districts, 738 head of cattle were
attacked and 298 died, as against 17 outbreaks, 372 attacks and
107 deaths reported from Dadu district in the previous year. Out
of 298 deaths during the year, 290 were from Dadu district
alone.

14.  Liver Fluke.—Three hundred and sixty-six head of cattle
died out of 890 animals attacked in 12 outbreaks in Thar-Parkar
and Dadu districts.

15.  Other Contagious Diseases.—Four outbreaks of Black-
quarter were reported from Dadu district and 30 animals died out of
31 attacked. Piroplasmosis caused the death of 53 animals out of
which 52 were reported from Islamkot. One animal died of Rabies
in Karachi. Twenty cases of Dengue Fever were reported from
Mirpurkhas with no deaths.

            (iii) Contagious disease among other animals.

16.  Rinderpest.—One outbreak was reported from Thar-Parkar
district. Ninety-two sheep and goats died out of 192 attacked.

17.  Parasitic Gastritis.—Twenty-three outbreaks were reported
from Karachi, Nawabshah, Upper Sind Frontier and Dadu districts.
1,647 sheep and goats were attacked and 925 died (811 animals
died in Dadu district alone), as against 974 attacks and 792 deaths.

18.  Surra.—Ten cases of Surra in camels were reported from
Hyderabad, Thar-Parkar, Upper Sind Frontier and Dadu districts,
out of which 2 animals died and 8 were successfully treated with
Nagonol, as against 131 attacks and 116 deaths from Thar-Parkar,
Larkana, Sukkur and Upper Sind Frontier districts.

19.  Anthrax.—Two outbreaks of Anthrax were reported from
Thar-Parkar and Dadu districts. One hundred and forty-five sheep
and goats were attacked and died. The disease could not be
confirmed.

20.  Liver Fluke.—In 8 outbreaks in Hyderabad, Thar-Parkar,
Nawabshah and Dadu districts, 1,258 sheep and goats were attacked
and 974 died (828 deaths occurred in Thar Parkar district alone).
