7. The horses imported from Persian Gulf were for ordinary
Bombay market. Besides 499 country bred horses were brought
into Bombay from up-country by rail for the same purpose.
The Australian imports were mainly to meet the requirements of
the Military Departments.
8. The current repairs to the Lazaretto buildings were carried
out as usual by the Public Works Department.
