18.Employment of Graduates.—Of the 21 students who passed
in 1931, 6 are in the service of Government or Local Bodies, 10 are
in the service of Indian States and 5 are unemployed. Of the
19 students who passed in 1930, 14 are in the service of Government
or Local Bodies, 3 are in the service of Indian States and 2 are
unemployed. Of the 24 students who passed in 1929, 9 are in the
service of Government or Local Bodies, 11 are in the service of
Indian States, 1 is in private practice, 1 has proceeded to Europe
for higher education, 1 is unemployed and 1 died. Thus out of a
total of 64 Graduates passed out during the last three years, 29 are
in the service of Government or Local Bodies, 24 in the service of
Indian States, 8 are unemployed, 1 is in private practice, 1 is
receiving higher education in Europe and 1 died.

19.The College Buildings.—The ordinary current repairs to the
college buildings were carried out by the Public Works Department
as usual. The construction of the Laboratory has been delayed
owing to financial stringency.

20.Extra Duties.—Mr. Hewlett attended the Meetings of the
Imperial Council of Agricultural Research as a Member of the
Advisory Board of the Council as well as of the Governing Body.
He also attended the Meeting of the Committee on All-India
Legislation for the control of Animal Diseases, at Muktesar.

21.General Remarks.—The Principal desires to place on record
his appreciation of the work of all the Officers of the College.

                    II—TREATMENT OF DISEASE.

22. Contagious Diseases.—There was a considerable reduction
in the reported mortality from this
cause during the year, 21,414 deaths
being reported against 34,852 in 1930-31. The decrease is mainly
