19.    General Remarks.—During the year under report Govern-
ment were pleased to rearrange the vacations and terms of the
College. The first session will in future begin on 15th June and
extend to 14th October and the second session will begin on 15th
November and end on 14th April. During the year the designation
of the Assistant Principal was changed to that of Professor of
Veterinary Science.

20.    The Principal desires to record his appreciation of the work
of all the officers of the College.

Medicine - Veterinary
DescriptionThe Veterinary collection consists of 146 volumes dating from 1864 to 1959. Divided into veterinary diseases, colleges and laboratories and Civil Veterinary Departments. Extensive research on trypanosomiasis and rinderpest. Reports show how veterinary medicine controlled disease, maintained livestock and alleviated famine. They explore its effect on military and local communities.
