                                (iv) Other diseases.

11. Table IV.—The number of villages visited by the Veterinary Assis-
tant Surgeons, Ajmer and Beawar, was 126 against 134 in the previous year,
They treated 96 animals for contagious and 55 for non-contagious diseases
as against 250 animals for contagious and 59 for non-contagious diseases in
the previous year.

                          (v) Hospitals and Dispensaries.

12.  Table V.—As in the previous year there were two Veterinary Dispen-
saries in the province during the year under report. The number of cases
treated was 4,617 as against 4,060 in the previous year. Medicines and
advice were given to the owners of 1,223 animals, not brought to the dis-
pensaries, as against 431 in the previous year. One equine, 2 bovines and
30 other animals were castrated as against three equines and 7 other animals
in the previous year.

13. Ajmer Veterinary Hospital.—Khan Sahib Abdul Haq held charge
throughout the year. The number of animals treated at this hospital was
3,587 (784 inpatients and 2,803 outpatients) as against 3,099 (693 inpatients
and 2,406 outpatients) treated in the previous year. One equine, 2 bovines
and 30 other animals were castrated as against 3 equines and 7 other
animals in the previous year.

14. Beawar Veterinary Hospital.—Mr. Kabul Singh held charge through-
out the year up to the 20th March 1932 when he was discharged and
Mr. Udharam K. Asnani was appointed in his place. The number of animals
treated at this hospital was 1,030 (21 inpatients and 1,009 outpatients) as
against 961 (36 inpatients and 925 outpatients) treated in the previous year.
No castrations were performed during the year.

                    III.—BREEDING OPERATIONS.

15. No breeding operations are carried out in the province by the Civil
Veterinary Department.

                                Fairs and shows.

16. The Pushkar Horse Show was not held this year.

17. Table XIV.—Cattle Show. This year only a cattle show was held at
Pushkar. 376 animals competed and Rs. 474 were awarded in prizes as
against 394 animals and Rs. 472 in the previous year.

              IV.—SUBORDINATE ESTABLISHMENT.

18. Table VII.—There were two Veterinary Assistant Surgeons working
in the province as in the previous year. Their work has been shown under
the head "Hospitals and Dispensaries".
