Rs. 240 awarded in the year 1919-20. The show was not held in 1920-21 and
1921-22 owing to the prevalence of epidemic disease among horses and cattle
in the district and to the scarcity of fodder.
Cattle Show.
Table XIV.
24. A Cattle Show was held at Pushkar in conjunction with the Horse
Show. One hundred and twenty-four
animals competed and a sum of Rs. 85
was awarded in prizes against 160 animals shown and Rs. 148 awarded in
prizes during 1919-20.
IV.—SUBORDINATE ESTABLISHMENT.

25. There were three Veterinary Assistants working on the 1st April 1922.
The post of Itinerating Veterinary Assist-
ant at Ajmer was abolished and there
were thus two Veterinary Assistants working at the close of the year. Their
work has been shown under the head "Veterinary Hospitals".
V.—EXPENDITURE OF THE DEPARTMENT.

26. The expenditure of the Department incurred from Local Funds dur-
ing the year was Rs 5,189 as against
Rs. 6,548 in the previous year.
