(vii) Postings and appointments.—Veterinary assistant surgeons are post-
ed for duty to districts, independent brigade areas and Remount depots by
the Officer-in-change, I.A.V. C. Records. Veterinary assistant surgeons appoint-
ed to districts and independent brigade areas are allotted duties under the
orders of the D. A. D. V. S. of the District or Executive Veterinary Officer
of the independent brigade area except in the cases of those selected for the
special charge pay, for whom posting orders are issued by the Officer-in-
charge, I. A. V. C. Records.

29. Erlistment and terms of service of N. C. Os., men and followers.—
(i) The rules governing the enlistment and terms of service of N. C. Os. and
men are contained in R. A. I.

(ii) Ceeks for Indian ranks, water-carriers, and sweopers will be enrolled
in the first instance for 5 years' service

(iii) N. C. Os. and men and followers are posted on enrolment, to sections
I. A. V. C. by the Officer-i-c, I A. V. C. Records.

30. Training.—All I. A. V. C. combatant personnel will be trained in
technical duties. A. V. Os. at their inspections of veterinary units will satisfy
themselves that this is being effected and will report accordingly on I. A. F.
V-1772-K as prescribed in Appx. II.

31. Discharge and dismissal.—The rules governing the discharge and dis-
missal of Indian officers, N. C. Os. and men, are contained in R. A. I.
