APPENDIX I.
FEES AND ALLOWANCES.
An officer of the A. V. S. on duty :—
(i) under the provisions of the Glanders and Farcy Act within a radius
of five miles from the cantonment in which he is quartered,
is entitled to a fee of Rs. 16 for each centre at which he makes an
examination. Should suspicious cases be reported at two or more
serais or stages on a dak line, he is entitled to a separate fee for
the examination made at each place :
(ii) under the provisions of the Glanders and Farcy Act outside a radius
of five miles from the cantonment in which he is quartered,
is similarly entitled to a fee of Rs. 16 for each centre at which he
makes an examination and to the travelling allowance admissible
to a veterinary officer visiting an out-station on duty (see Travel-
ling Regulations, India).
(iii) as a member of an examining board at a civil veterinary college,
is entitled to fee as may be fixed from time to time and to such
travelling allowance, not including halting allowance, as is ad-
missible under the Civil Service Regulations.
(iv) when an officer travels by rail, Form E. will be used.
