   VIII.—The attention of the cantonment committee at Roorkee
should be drawn to the necessity which is said to exist for building a new
lock hospital there outside town limits.

   IX.—The cantonment committee should consider the question of
raising the Chakráta lock hospital to the rank of a second class hospital,
and of erecting a new building. An early report should be made of the
action taken in this respect.

   X.—The attention of the cantonment committee at Fatehgarh should
be invited to the remarks in paragraph 90 of the Sanitary Commissioner's
report, and also to the fact that the district report did not contain the
usual statistical statements, or any reference to the existence or work of
a lock hospital sub-committee.

   11. In conclusion, I am to forward a list of errata that have been
found in the Sanitary Commissioner's report and the statements appended
thereto. The attention of the Sanitary Commissioner has been called to
them, and he will be directed to secure greater accuracy in future.
