5. The activities of the Malaria Bureau have been necessarily limited
by financial stringency.
6. The Plague Section did useful work in the rat flea survey of
barges in the Rangoon River. The importance of this survey has been
recognised by the Indian Research Fund Association, which, in spite
of retrenchment, has continued its financial assistance towards the
enquiry.
7. My thanks are due to the staff of the Institute for the zealous
and careful manner in which they have carried out their duties during
the year.
