(a ) Maintained throughout the year.
(b ) Maintained for about seven months of the year, the dates of opening and clos-
ing being fixed by the D.D.M.S. or A.D.M.S. of the Command or District.
(c ) Only opened as required on the sanction of the D.D.M.S. or A.D.M.S. of the
Command or District.
Matrons of the hospitals classed (b ) and (c ) above should be utilised for filling
leave vacancies in other hospitals where their travelling expenses would not exceed
the cost of local replacement.
(d ) Open for about 6 months in the year.
NOTE.—A matron is authorised for employment in the Garrison Dispensary
Fort St. George.
