your lordship all the content and satisfaction you can propose to your self by
making such ane honorable and prudent settlement of your famihe.
I must nou take leave to give your lordship thanks for recomending my
affairs to Walter, which, I hope, shall have good effect with him, tho' it hes not
prevailed with him to applie for getting the rents sequestrate, which was my
main aim, and which, indeed, was the best office could have been done to the
familie. I wish the golden opportunitie be not lost ; I'm sure I runn a great
risque on't. Houever, your lordship is the best hand can help it. I'm loath to
complain of my friends, especialhe at this distance ; onlie allou me to inform
your lordship that I find him very uneasie in my bussiness, and that in most,
if not ah, of it, he runns counter both to my interest and repeated orders, which
I shall demonstrate to your lordship, if ever I be so happie as to see you here.
Meanwhile, let me still recomend this famihe, my self, and your litle god-son,
to your wonted favor and generous protection ; and beleive me on all occasions
to be as ever, my Lord,
