326. Deare sone, sine your goeing from hoom thair some Strang feares for what is
not knowen, nor can I wryt al the circomstances of it to you, bot the bearer
can inform yow ; bot when others is making provision otherways, Lord help vs
to flie to our strong hold, the Lord, whos nam is a refuge to flie to at al times :
blished be his holy nam ! He is a God of judgment, and waits to be gratious
wnto al that trusts in his gudnes. The morrow is the miting of the shire of
Aire of the thrie commissioners, and al the genetelmen is wryt for. Ye ware
enquired for ; it was weil, I hoop ye ware than. Til we sei from this miting,
I bid you and requist, ride not lat, ye nor your wife, for ye be both weil : I
will be weil throw our God's gudnes, by which I am,
