To our right trusty and right intirely beloved cousin and councellor, our
right trusty and right well beloved cousin and councellor, our right trusty and
well beloved cousins and councellors, our right trusty and well beloved coun-
cellor, and to our trusty and well beloved councellor, James Duke of Queens-
berry, our high commissioner, James Earle of Seafield our chancellor, and the
rest of the Lords and others commissioners of our treasury of our ancient
kingdom of Scotland.
Archibald Douglas of Cavers, general! receiver of Her Majesty's rents, pay
unto the above named Sir John Maxwell of Pollock, the above mentioned sum
of tuo hundred pound sterline, conform to the above written letter ; for which
these presents, with his recept, shall be yoiir warrand. Dated at Edinburgh,
the 28th day of March 1707.
