1. Alexander Goidon of Golspiekirkton. He
was implicated in the attack on the Suther-
lands of Duffus, Sir Robert Gordon having
to stand caution for him in £500 August 2,
1621, to desist from annoying them ('• Privy
Council Register"). He married Margaret,
daughter of John Gordon of Backies, and
had
(1). John Gordon
(2). Robert Gordon. He married Jean Gor-
don, daughter of Patrick Gordon, some-
time of (Jraigton
(3). Adam Gordon He married Je n And-
erson, daughter of Mr Andrew Ander-
son, minister at Ki'donan
(4). Margaret Gordon, she married Robert
Cadel (Ca der), and had issue
(5). Christian Gordon
2. Adam Gordon "in Cu'gower." He married
Jane Gordon, daughter of John Gordon of
Midgarty, and had
(1.) Adam Gordon
(2). John Gordon He married (1) Jean Gor-
don, daughter of Alexander Gordon of
Carroll ; and (2) Katherine Gordon,
daughter of John Gordon of Easter
Helmsdale
(3). Alexander Gordon, married Margaret
Gordon, daughter of A exander Gun in
Borboll
{4). Hugh Gordon " sone of ^ dam Gordon
of Culkour" is stated by Sir Kobert
Gordon (' Earls of Sutherland p. 402)
to have joined v ackay's Regiment in
Germany in 1626 ; but he does not ap-
pear in ISir Robert's Tables, which
states that Adam Gordon's brother,
not son, was cal ed Hugh
3 Hugh Gordon is given in the Tables as hav-
ing married the daughter of Wi liam Ab.r-
nethy and to have had

(2). Adam Gordon
4. Gilbert Gordon. He had a natural son

5. John Gordon was a natural son of Adam Gor-
