(The male line failing with the death, on May 1, 1854, of
Capt. Robert Barclay-Allardice, — No. 30 above, — representation
of the Barclays of Mather and Urie thereupon passed to the
oldest living male descendant of the apologist's second son (David
Barclay, — No. 12 above), who in 1854 was Charles Barclay of
Bury Hill. The present (1903) head of the family is said Charles
Barclay's grandson, Robert Barclay, Esq., of Bury Hill.)
