(46) George Parker. (56) James Edward Parker, married his
third cousin, Marion Frances Sandbach, daughter of the
Reverend Gilbert Sandbach, and has issue. (4a) Anne Parker,
married 14th August, 1838, to Edward Cardwell, Viscount
Cardwell of Ellerbeck, county Lancashire, British Peer, P.O.,.
D.C.L., late Secretary of State for War, born 24th Julv, 1813,.
son of John Cardwell of Liverpool, by his wife, Elizabeth,,
daughter of Richard Birley. Lady Cardwell died 20th February,
1887, aged 76. (5a) Susan Parker, married to Duncan Darroch
of Gouroch, county Renfrew, a Major in the Army, born 19th
February, 1800, brother of the first Mrs George Rainy of
Raasay, and eldest son and heir of Lieutenant-General Duncan
Darroch of Gouroch (who claimed to be a branch of the ancient
House of Macdonald, Lords of the Isles), by his wife, Elizabeth,
daughter of the Rev. George Sackville Cotter, A.M., Rector of
Ighter Morrough, and grand-daughter of Sir James Cotter, Bart,
of Rockforest. Susan Darroch died August or September, 1889.
Issue — (lb) Duncan Darroch of Gouroch and Torridon, born
15th March, 1836, married 1864, Ann Rickman, daughter of S.
P. Rickman. Mr Darroch purchased the estate of Torridon from
Lieutenant-Colonel Macbarnet in 1873. Issue — (lc) Duncan
Darroch, born 9th February, 1868 ; (2c) Alister Ronald, born
22nd April, 1880 ; (3c) Annie Marion, married to a son of Lord
Coleridge ; (4c) Effie Caroline ; (5c) Helen Margaret. (26)
Charles Stewart Parker Darroch, Rector of Minstead, Hampshire,,
married Alice, eldest daughter of Sir Edwin Pearson, Knight (by
his wife, the Honourable Alice Anne Hewitt, daughter of James,
3rd Viscount Lifford). Issue — (lc) Duncan Stewart, died young;;
(2c) Malcom Stewart, born 4th July, 1876 ; (3c) Angus Stewart,,
born 3rd August, 1877 ; (4c) a daughter, born about 1889. (36)

Frances, daughter of Richard Valpy of Champneys, Tring, county
Herts. Issue — (lc) Richard George Sutton Darroch; (2c) a
