Donald 3 (youngest child of Kenneth*), of Muckle-
ferry, m. Christina Gordon, daughter of James Gordon,
Esq., and had sons : Spencer 4 , Kenneth \ and John 4 ; and
daughters, Jane 4 and Christina 4 . He died in 1798. Of
these sons, Kenneth 4 emigrated to Lower Canada in 1813,
and married there twice. By his first marriage he had
children : Spencer D , Joseph 5 , Elizabeth 6 , Jane 6 , Sarah 5 ,
all of whom married. By his second marriage he had
Mary 5 , Isabella 5 , Christina 5 .
John 4 (third son of Donald* and Christina Gordon)
m. Christina Ronaldson, and had sons: Kenneth Ronald-
son 6 , John 5 ; and a daughter, Jane 5 . He died in 1830. Of
the sons, Kenneth Ronaldson 5 and John 5 in 1852-54 came
to Upper Canada, and subsequently to Nova Scotia.
Kenneth 5 , a railway contractor, b. in Edinburgh, August
15, 1831, m. May 20, 1861, in Colchester County, Nancy
Jean Tays, and died July 27, 1885. They had one child :
Anna Laurie 6 , b. June 8, 1863, m. Rufus William
Eaton.
Both John 5 and Jane " died unmarried.
Spencer 4 (eldest son of Donald* and Christina Gordon)
m. (1), in 1810, Elizabeth Rae, and had one son, George
Rae 5 , and four daughters : Janet 5 , deceased ; Christina 5 ,
deceased ; Mary 5 and Jane 5 , who lived in Shubenacaclie.
Spencer 4 m. (2) Margaret Johnston, and had eleven sons
and one daughter, Margaret. One of the sons is Kenneth
Sutherland, of Kentville, late manager of the Dominion
Atlantic Railway, who married Miss Lex, of Philadelphia.
George Rae 6 m., in 1851, Jean Richardson, second
daughter of William Pyle, Esq., and has had four sons
and six daughters : A daughter died in infancy ; Agnes,
