VI.-ASSYNT.
Assynt remained in the Skelbo titles until 1525, but it was
possessed by tbe Macleods and afterwards by the
Mackenzies, until March 2nd, 1696.

Disposition by Countess Dowager of Seaforth in favour of John
Mackenzie of Assynt of all and whole the lands and baronies of
Assynt, comprehending the towns and lands following : —
