Established Church, throughout every portion
of the United Kingdom. I wish to see the
government of this Christian country, in plain

earth, before God and man, in the truly ma-

an uncompromising defender of the Christian
faith. I wish her to proclaim herself, in lan-

servant of Him, who has marked her among
the kingdoms with distinguished favour ; who
has plainly identified her renown, and her
prosperity, throughout her history, with the
boldness of the national testimony which she
has borne to His truth.
