The following are the Descendants of Anne of
Sardinia, at present living ; arranged in the order of
succession they would have exhibited to the British
Throne, had they not been excluded by their pro-
fession of E-oman Catholicism. In these royal per-
sonages alone concentres the Representation of the
House of Stuart; which, as will be seen, vests
primarily in that of the reigning Dynasty of
Modena, and after that in those of Parma, Naples,
Saxony, Spain, Brazil, and Portugal (and the legiti-
mate Bourbon dynasty of Prance) consecutively : —
