widow of W. Urquhart Weldon.

(5) Elizabeth, married, 10th January, 1889, John Adamson,
of Adamson and McTaggart, Merchants, Negapatam, Madras,
(who died in India, 19th May, 1890), and had a son, John,
born at Pulnai Hills, Madras, 15th August, 1890.
Note by the Author. — David, of Langhaugh, is (1874) the
undoubted head and representative of the Menmuir race, and also
the last of the family resident in the district.
(Note by the Editor. — David died suddenly of apoplexy, 12th
May, 1890, aged 72. He was a middle-sized, stout, reddish
fair, blue-eyed, hale and hearty man ; of polished manners,
quick intelligence, and of the highest honour and integrity ;
especially will his unvarying geniality and remarkable fund of
humour be cherished by those who knew him intimately. For
many years, and up to the time of his death, he was an Elder
of the Menmuir Free Church.)
