Elsie Knocker gets married

At least one happy event took place in the face of all the misery of the Western Front.

In January 1916 Mairi Chisholm's companion, Elsie Knocker — who had already been married and divorced before the war — got married for a second time.

Elsie's new husband was a Belgian baron in the Belgian Flying Corps. She now became Baroness de T'Serclaes.
