494               GENEALOGICAL COLLECTIONS [VOL. II

[page 440.]

De Bisset was married to Sir David de Grahame Knight. This
Sir David de Grahame is witness to a Charter granted by his
Sister Dame Elizabeth Bisset filia as She Calls her Self Nobilis
Viri quondam Domini Johanni Bisset et Sponsa Domini Andreæ
De Bosco Militis about the 1290. Mr. Hugh Ross the Author
of the Genealogy of the family of Kilravock conjectures that
Sir David Grahame had a Son Patrick and which is Indeed
Certain but it would appear this Author thinks that Mary
Bisset his wife married the Fraser for her Second husband and
that her Son Sir Patrick Grahame dying the Children of her
Second husband the Frasers Succeeded to the Estate of the
house of Lovat. But it is much more Likely that Sir Davids
daughter or his Grandchild Sir Patricks Daughter married Sir
Simon Fraser of Kinell who was a Branch of the family of
Fraser Tho by the most exact Rules of Cronologie She has
been Sir Davids Daughter and Sister to Sir Patrick Since the
heir of the Marriage.

HUGH FRASER of Lovat does homage to the Bishop of
Murray in the 1369 and is then Portionarius de Ard. That
which Confirms this Succession much Is that the Davoch Land
of Colcovie pertained to Hugh Ross and Mary de Bosco his
wife which they had in Tack and Assidation of Sir David
Grahame as appears by the Contract yet Extant in Kilravocks
Charter-chest dated die Veneris in festo Annunciationis Beatæ
Virginis Mariæ Apud Lovat in Anno 1294.

But I See no Inconsistency but that it may be Sir Patrick
Grahams daughter that might have married Fraser.

Sir John Son of Sir Andrew de Bosco and Dame Mary Bisset
had no heirs Male but Daughters Elizabeth who was Married
to Alexander de Strevelyn. There is in the Charter Chist of
Killravock a renounciation of all pretences which he had to the
Lands of Kilravock in favours of William Ross of Kilravock of
the Lands of Kilravock dated Die Dominico post festum Sancti
Barnabi Apostoli 1327. And there is another Renounciation
made in favours of the Said William Ross of Kilravock by
Nicolas de Carrick and Johanna his Spouse another of the
Daughters and heirs of Sir John De Bosco. This is likeways
the predecessor of Nicolas de Carrick progenitor to the Earl
of Cassils. Hugh Ross the first of Kilravocks family married
