SOME DEEDS in times of SIR JOHN &
JONATHAN URQUHARTS & Transmission
of the Estate by Jonathan to Sir George
McKenzie Afterwards Viscount of
Tarbut Earl of Cromarty.

1.  DISPOSITION by Mr. Hugh Anderson of Uddell to Sir
John Urquhart of Cromarty of four Several Tennements of
Land with a Particat of Land and Kiln and house built
thereon dated 16 July 1673.

2.  CONTRACT of FEU betwixt Sir John and Mr. James Hous-
toun Minister of Cullicudden of the Toun and Lands of
Wester Culbo. The few dutie Whereof is thereby 24 Bolls
of Victual and £20 for the entry of each heir The Contract
is pretty full and dated 1^st June 1675. But probably never
took place As the following Contract of Feu of the Same
Lands is of next years Date.

3. CONTRACT of FEU betwixt Sir John Urquhart of Cromarty
and Mr. Roderick Mackenzie of Findon of the Said Toun and
Davach Lands of Wester Culbo And the Lands of Meikle
Farnes in Warrandice The Lands of Wester Culbo are herein
particularly Bounded And the Teind Sheaves and Personage
Teinds are all Dispon'd As never Seperated from the Stock
With the priviledges of the Muires Mosses and Communtys,
And the Heritable deputation of Bailliary over the Said Lands
The feu duty is 20 Shilling Scots, and Releiving Sir John at
the hands of the Bishop of the yearly feu dutys payable to
him Which are £6 Scots, 1 Custom Mart, 4 Muttons, 4 Kids,
40 Eggs, 12 Capons, 12 Poultry and £25∙∙12 more as the
Conversion of the Oats and fewal of old payable out of the
Said Lands, 40 Shillings of Grassum and 32 Shillings of
Augmentation And Duplication of the foresaid 20 Shilling of
feu duty at the entry of each heir and Assigney to the Said
Lands The Assignys who are to have that priviledge being
only Such as would otherwise Succeed Jure Sanguinis and in
the Line of Blood But that Strangers not So related entering
