Army Swimming Union Officials
8. Application should be made to the Hon. Secretary, A.S.U.
for information about inclusion on the A.S.U. list of swimming,
diving and water polo officials.

Badges and Ties
9. Subject to the conditions laid down, Army Swimming Union
Badges and Ties of the following design may be worn.
(a)
Blazer Badge.
The Lion and Crown in Gold over the letters
A.S.U. also in gold, all on a dark blue ground. The date of
representation may be shown in gold under the A.S.U. initials.
(b)
Costume Badge.
Similar to above, except that the Lion and
Crown, A.S.U. and other lettering to be in white on a dark blue
ground.
(c)
Ties.
The Lion and Crown to be in white on a dark blue ground.
Conditions of award.
(a)
Blazer Badge.
Only those Officers and other Ranks who have
represented the Army at an Inter-Service Championship Meet-
ing, either as a Swimmer, Diver or Water Polo player are
entitled to wear this badge, obtainable from the Hon. Secretary
at £2 8s. Od. each. Blazer buttons are also obtainable from the
same source. Large buttons 12/- per set of 3, small buttons
13/4 per set of 4.
(b)
Costume Badge.
Awarded free to:
(i) Individuals who represent the Army at the Inter-Service
Swimming, Diving and Water Polo Championships.
(ii) Army Champions, i.e. winners of individual events at
the Army Swimming and Diving Championships.
(iii) Individuals who represent the Army in the match v. the
Civil Service.
Additional badges are obtainable from the Hon. Secretary
at 8/- each.
(c)
Ties.
May be worn by all individuals entitled to the blazer
and costume badge; also the President and Hon. Secretary
(including ex-officio), and all A.S.U. qualified officials, obtain-
able from the Hon. Secretary at 14/6d. each.
COMBINED SERVICES SAN'IMPâś“IING ASSOCIATION
1. The C.S.S.A. organise three separate annual championships
for men; swimming, diving and water polo and two for women;
swimming and diving, and three for Juniors. They are held under
A.S.A. laws between teams representing the Royal Navy, the Army
and the Royal Air Force.
These championshil s were first held in 1924 between the Royal
Navy and the Army and in 1927 the Royal Air Force competed for
the first time. Junior Championships were first held in 1961.
