(c) charge an opponent ; that is, when jumping, throw
her body against a player or rush into her in an attempt
to intercept the ball.
(d) push or hold an opponent. This includes feeling an
opponent to make sure she is near.
(iv) removing the ball in any way from the opponent, either
with hands or any part of the body.
(v) impeding on any other occasion.
A player may not impede another player in any of the above ways
at any time in the game.
The offending players may or may not be in possession of the
ball ; in fact, the ball could be in quite a different part of the
court.
Penalty.
A free shot for goal to the opposite side.
i9. Obstruction.
A player within three feet of an opponent in possession of the
ball shall not attempt to intercept the pass or the shot for goal, or
prevent her from passing freely.
A defending player, marking an opponent who is moving to
receive the ball, may intercept the pass even if the intercepting
movement takes her within three feet of the thrower.
Penalty :
A free shot for goal to the opposite side.

The Free Shot.
—A free shot shall be taken by Shooter or
Attack from any point within the court, outside the circle. The
player who takes it must stand outside the circle but part of either
or both feet may be on, but not over, the line bounding the circle.
She must aim directly at the goal and not thrown to any other
player.
Until the ball has left the hands of the player taking the free shot, no
other player shall stand within 3 ft. of her. A free shot may not
be intercepted.
A Shooter or Attack, who is fouled within the shooting circle, shall
have the option of taking the free shot from the point where she was
fouled. If taken in the circle, it must be by the player who was
fouled.
Penalty.
—For
breach :
(a)
By the defending side, the free shot
shall be taken again by the same player, unless netted ; (b) by the
attacking side, a free pass to the opposite side from where the
breach occurred.
2z.
The Bounce.
—The ball is bounced by the Umpire between
two players of opposite sides when :—
(i) they have gained simultaneous possession of the ball
with one or both hands.
(ii) they have touched the ball simultaneously immediately
before it passes over the side or goal lines.
